BAMBOO

The Audemars Piguet Bamboo in 18k yellow gold is a vintage jewellery-watch from the 1970s to 1980s, designed as an ultra-thin, water-resistant piece with supreme elegance and practical wearability. Its signature feature is the hand-crafted case seamlessly integrated with a delicate, braided “bamboo” bracelet made of fine gold stems, assembled and adjusted by master watchmakers.

The case is gently pearl-sheened and polished three times—burnished with diamond paste, fine-polished with elderberry lustre, then finished with soft chamois leather. This piece is a 27mm quartz (cal. 2508) movement in stunning condition. The collection is among AP’s most intriguing late-20th-century designs, defined by its fluid bracelet, softly sculpted case with “bamboo joint” accents, and rare collectability outside the Royal Oak lineage.
